I have always liked this stark black/white contrast. We used to have light sussex for that very reason, but ended up losing them during our horrible infectious Coryza times. These Columbians are in the development stage, but are almost finished. We will be continuing to work on them up here in Canada with the assistance of the original breeder in Oklahoma.
May 2023 we took a great road trip to Oklahoma to include these very nice Columbian Marans... I just love these birds. They are huge.. I have 2 males, and 3 females. The egg colour on these birds is completely acceptable. Lets see what 2024 brings with this group.
