Wheaten Marans

May 2023- road trip!  We ventured all the way to Oklahoma to pick up some very nice Wheaten Marans, and managed to also pick up some from the original breeder of Wheatens.  I had two pens from these birds, now whittled down to 1 pen. I chose the best birds from both pens and now have a good selection of males and females. I will also be doing some select breeding with them.

I really like the Wheaten female colouring, but am new to this complicated variety. I am so excited to start working on these birds.
